Fall Foliage Pictures 2001 - New Milford Green

These shots were taken during the peak leaf color in October, 2001. At the time these pictures were taken, the green had undergone a much needed facelift of the roads and sidewalks. Portions of the Adam Sandler movie Mr. Deeds were shot on these streets after some of the renovations had been completed. The green dates back to the earliest days of New Milford and continues to be an area where many activities are held. A map dating back to 1906 shows a Birds Eye View of New Milford the entire downtown area suggests that even 100 years ago, the town green was an important meeting area.

The collection of fall foliage pictures shown on these pages were taken by me unless otherwise noted. Most shots were taken in Litchfield County, Connecticut which is located in Central and North Western Connecticut. During October, leafpeeping is my favorite hobby as the trees change from green to red and yellow.
